Inkwell is operated by Webiconic, based in Zimbabwe. By creating an account, browsing, buying, or publishing on Inkwell, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site, and reach out via our contact page with any questions.
You need an account to buy or publish on Inkwell. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you think someone else has access to it.
You keep full ownership and copyright of everything you publish on Inkwell — books, poetry, scripts, and free pieces alike. By publishing, you grant Inkwell a license to host, display, and sell your work through the platform. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, and that it doesn't infringe on anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
You're responsible for the accuracy of your listings — pricing, descriptions, and cover images — and for the content of anything you publish, including free pieces posted through Write. We can remove listings or accounts that violate these terms or the law.

Prices are shown in USD. Digital purchases unlock a download and, where the author has enabled it, online reading — access is granted as soon as payment is confirmed. Physical copies are printed, packed, and shipped directly by the author who listed them, not by Inkwell; shipping costs and timelines are set by that author.
Because digital goods are delivered instantly, digital purchases are generally final once the file has been downloaded or the book opened for reading online. If something's gone wrong with an order — wrong file, damaged physical copy, an item that never shipped — contact us and we'll help sort it out with the author.
Payments are processed through Paynow. Inkwell does not see or store your full card or mobile money details — that's handled directly by Paynow's own secure checkout.
You may not use Inkwell to:
We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. You can close your own account at any time by contacting us — see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.
Inkwell is provided as-is. We do our best to keep the site running smoothly and orders flowing correctly, but we're not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the site, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use Inkwell after a change means you accept the updated terms.
